Digital Leaders

The role of a Digital Leader at HCJS is to act as a pupil ambassador and peer educator for technology and digital learning. This position empowers those pupils to develop their leadership and technical skills while supporting the school community. Their key responsibilities include:

  1. Supporting Technology Use: Helping teachers and classmates use technology effectively, such as setting up devices or troubleshooting basic issues.
  2. Promoting Online Safety: Advocating for safe and responsible use of the internet by sharing online safety tips and contributing to activities during events like Safer Internet Day.
  3. Leading Digital Projects: Assisting with the integration of digital tools in learning, such as coding, multimedia creation, or other IT-based projects.
  4. Testing and Reviewing Tools: Trialing new apps, devices, or software and providing feedback to teachers or school leadership.
  5. Training and Teaching Peers: Delivering short training sessions to peers or younger students to enhance their understanding of technology.
  6. Promoting Digital Literacy: Encouraging the use of digital tools to enhance learning across the curriculum
